I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Purdue University. My research focuses on how institutions and public policies shape labor markets and economic outcomes.

My name is pronounced Shom-dee-pa Das (সোমদীপা দাস).

Outside of economics, I enjoy distance running and reading. I am currently training for my first half marathon. I read broadly across genres, from historical romance and science fiction, to literary fiction and nonfiction on history, culture, and social institutions.
